Students

Have you ever felt like you had so much more to offer the world than you were giving? You and your friends are full of potential to make a difference in your community, city, country, and the world. A Project Serve trip gives you the opportunity to realize your potential to contribute to the world in a positive way!

  • You will spend one to two weeks working alongside nationals in a cross-cultural setting.
  • You will help to meet needs in that community and begin to understand poverty and injustice through first hand experience.
  • You will begin this adventure four months prior to the trip as we begin our training. Eight team building meetings will interactively teach you about poverty, culture, language and injustice. Most importantly you will discover what you can do to be a part of fighting against it and preventing it, instead of adding to the problem.

You will have opportunities to learn about homelessness in Toronto through a street walk and serve here in the city before we go away. Through volunteering in your own community you will be aware of social systems in your area so that when you return home, you can continue serving and helping others in your everyday life.
